Adjective Remix is an application designed to enhance vocabulary acquisition of qualifying words, specifically adjectives. Research indicates that vocabulary development is crucial for many young children, particularly those with developmental delays and language disorders (Kuster, 2011). The application can be utilized by various stakeholders, including parents, teachers, special educators, and speech-language pathologists. It offers flexibility of use with either individual children or in group settings.

The application provides analytical data that tracks progress over time, with options for results to be emailed or printed for further review. Adjective Remix strategically segments adjectives into eight major categories to more effectively teach this concept:

<li>Appearance: Broken, Clean, Comfortable, Dirty, Elegant, Fluffy, Long, New, Soft, Sparkling, Valuable.</li>
<li>Colors: Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, Purple, Pink, Black.</li>
<li>Feelings: Angry, Happy, Nervous, Sad, Scary, Excited, Bored.</li>
<li>Quantity: Empty, Few, Full, Heavy.</li>
<li>Shape: Chubby, Curved, Round, Squared, Thick, Thin.</li>
<li>Size: Big, Short, Small, Tall, Tiny.</li>
<li>Time: Ancient, Fast, Modern, Old, Slow, Young.</li>
<li>Touch & Taste: Cold, Fresh, Hot, Nutritious, Salty, Sweet, Wet, Dry.</li>
</ol>

Key features of Adjective Remix include:

<li>A collection of 400 images;</li>
<li>Options to print or email results;</li>
<li>Ability for group play accommodating multiple children;</li>
<li>Isolation of adjectives organized into categories;</li>
<li>Positive reinforcement through audio and visual feedback;</li>
<li>Support for three languages: Spanish, Portuguese & English.</li>
</ul>

The development of Adjective Remix was led by Barbara Fernandes M.C CCC-SLP, a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist.
